ZJAPANR / J.JAPAN.L., Journal of Japanese Law
Inaugurated in 1996, the Zeitschrift für Japanisches Recht / Journal of Japanese Law aims to be a truly international periodical for researchers and practitioners. Featuring comparative analysis on a full range of Japanese law topics, it adopts a variety of formats and methodological approaches and maximizes accessibility to Japanese law through publication in western languages (German, English and French).
The Journal is a joint publication of the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law (MPI), Hamburg, and the German-Japanese Association of Jurists (DJJV). The MPI is a research institute whose focus is on comparative law. The DJJV is a non-profit association having approximately 700 members (mostly legal professionals and academics) located in Germany and abroad. An editorial collaboration also exists with the Australian Network for Japanese Law (ANJeL).
The Journal appears twice yearly in print form and is published by the Carl Heymanns Verlag – a brand of Wolters Kluwer Germany. The Journal is made available free of charge to members of the DJJV. All interested persons are welcome to become a member of the DJJV. The Journal can also be subscribed to directly from the Carl Heymanns Verlag – a brand of Wolters Kluwer Germany.
