Dear DJJV Members,
We are pleased to announce that the upcoming International Symposium 2026: Patent Litigation in Japan, Germany, and before the Unified Patent Court, organized in collaboration with the German Patent and Trade Mark Office, the Japan Patent Office, the Japan Intellectural Property Association, the Japanese Group of AIPPI, the Japan Federation of Bar Associations and the IP Lawyers Network Japan will take place on September 25, 2026, at the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA) in Munich.
Experienced judges, practitioners, and experts from Japan, Germany, and the Unified Patent Court (UPC) will provide valuable insights into the latest developments in the field of patent litigation within these legal systems. The program will address recent case law and discuss key procedural and substantive legal issues, offering a comparative perspective on current trends in patent enforcement, patent validity, and cross-border litigation.
The symposium will be held in English, and attendance is free of charge. A networking reception will follow the symposium at the DPMA.
Further information on the program can be found here.
Please register for participation here.
As the symposium takes place during the Munich Oktoberfest, we recommend booking your accommodation well in advance.
