The General Meeting of the German-Japanese Lawyers Association is hereby convened for Monday, December 15, 2025, 6:00 p.m., in virtual form.

1. Report of the President and Treasurer
2. Discharge of the Executive Board
3. Election of the Executive Board, Art. 8 (1) of the Articles of Association
The members of the Executive Board can be found here. Since the last election, Dr. Philipp Schmidt has resigned from the Executive Board at his own request. All current members of the Executive Board are standing for re-election. Mr. Jan Felix von Alten, research assistant at the Chair of Japanese Law and its Cultural Foundations at Goethe University Frankfurt, is standing for election as a new member of the Executive Board.

Motions to add items to the agenda must be submitted to the Executive Board in writing at least two weeks before the start of the meeting, in accordance with Art. 7 (1) of the Articles of Association.
This is an online event. For organizational reasons, we kindly ask you to register via the link provided on our homepage. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with the link to participate. We have decided not to hold an in-person general meeting because we are planning a festive event at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg on January 31, 2026, starting at 3:00 p.m. A separate invitation has already been sent out for this event. We are very much looking forward to meeting many of our members at this event.
